Death of a Salesman Essay Topics

Death of a Salesman Essay TopicsThe Death of a Salesman is a series of essays written by Biff Tannen in one issue of a comic book. Written by Scott Wills, the series was created by Jonathan Hickman. It featured a high school English teacher named Mr. Crocker, who did not like the idea of young Biff and his friends being an immature bunch. Since the individual who wrote the book was still in grade school, Crocker couldn't handle it and he decided to use his notes to write the book. The concept behind the book was to create a biography of a popular but boring character from the past of Biff and his buddies. The author then does an analysis of Biff and other members of the gang. It was a successful venture since fans of the series started to buy the issue as well. Since the death of a salesman came out during the summer, there was also a summer camp-based version of the novel that was sold on 'Campy Weekends' at San Diego Comic Con. The reviews were positive, so the sales of the books do ubled in the summer. The author of the book first created Biff Tannen as a boy scout leader. His parents were dead set against the idea of him being a leader because they felt it would make him a coward. This made the boy a little depressed and he continued to grow into an obnoxious man who no one really liked. He was initially seen as a character of the old cartoon but soon became more popular after the death of a salesman. The concept of the Death of a Salesman is not original but it does take some liberties with the plot. A sports newspaper editor falls in love with Biff and have his children taken away because they are considered troublesome. Since the editor is the hero of the book, Biff decides to hunt down the editor. Since he is no longer a teenager, he uses his notes to do the job.In the book, Biff was originally trying to steal the editor's identity when the series was first released. When the editor changed his name to Jack, Biff stopped doing anything but threatened and to rtured him. In the last pages of the book, it is implied that Biff had indeed come to kill Jack.In fact, the main villain of the book is the reporter, Charlie, who wrote the newspaper article about Biff. He hated Biff, but the three real guys didn't think so. As a result, the book turns into a romance between Biff and the editor's wife. This is what made people buy the book, not the death of a salesman.Overall, the plot of the Death of a Salesman was successful as it is read by many. Though not the best historical novel ever written, it was considered by some to be very good.
